Gamma Vacuum introduces new sintered NEG pump sequence for research, medicine, industry and analytics

Try before you buy -evaporable getter (NEG) pumps have an entire range of useful and ergonomic advantages for applications that require cost-effective and dependable ultra-high vacuum situations. Unlike most vacuum pumps, NEG pumps are gas-capturing pumps that bind gases via sorption. This results in low energy consumption, little noise, and no vibration. NEG pumps haven’t any shifting parts and are therefore maintenance-free.
Increased pumping performance
With these attributes, they’re predestined for an entire vary of purposes in research, drugs, business and analytics. In these areas, they attain pressures of much less than1x10-10 mbar because of their working precept. A critical requirement in such functions is the absence of mud particles as these badly affect the efficiency of the customers’ applications. Sintered NEG materials is extensively believed to strongly scale back emission of such particles into the application. Therefore, Gamma Vacuum developed its new NEG pumps that are primarily based on sintered materials. “The increased pumping efficiency of this NEG collection with respect to our conventional NP collection (NEG pumps primarily based on pressed material) and their superior hydrogen capacity compared to the opposite NEG pumps obtainable on the market are further benefits”, says Dr. Stefan Lausberg, product supervisor for Gamma Vacuum.
Wide pumping speed vary
The NEG series ranges from 50 l/s up to four hundred l/s in pumping velocity: 50NS, 100NS, 200NS, 300NS, 400NS, 410NS. All pumps are mounted on a DN 40 CF (2.75” CF) flange. The first five pumps have a 3-pin feedthrough which is a common type in the marketplace. In order to fulfil customers’ requests, the 410MS is provided with a particular 4-pin feedthrough while it has the same pumping pace because the 400NS.
Superior hydrogen pumping velocity
NEG vacuum pumps can be utilized in a broad spectrum of scientific and medical purposes, like electron microscopes, research and medical accelerators or surface science. Due to their superior hydrogen pumping pace they are particularly well-suited within the ultra-high vacuum range where hydrogen is the dominant fuel species.
Energy efficient, non-vibrating and noiseless
After the NEG pump has been heated up it does not devour any electrical energy till it’s saturated. “This makes it an power efficient, vibration-free and noiseless pump”, highlights product manager Dr. Stefan Lausberg. Another benefit: A NEG pump may be put in and operated in any orientation, even in confined spaces, and supplies a sensible way to maintain ultra-high vacuum pressures over a long time period.
