The KSB pumps will equip a quantity of pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y management de inundaciones” venture. They might be used to forestall future flooding through the high-water season along the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The metropolis of Pilar is situated 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is pushed by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. The most circulate fee of each axial flow pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump sets are expected to be delivered by the end of this year.
